● The 2025 Valley Center Western Days Guns & Hoses Chili Cook-Off will take place at the Valley Center Western Days Festival located at 28246 Lilac Road, Valley Center. The event starts at 5pm, contestants please arrive no later than 4:00 to get set up. The judging will start promptly at 5:00 when the public joins in.
● This event is a fundraiser for the Valley Center Fire & Valley Center Sheriff’s Explorer Program. The public will be asked for a donation upon entry. While the theme is Fire vs. Cops, all organizations and individuals are WELCOME to participate! The more the merrier!
● Bring 2-3 LARGE crock pots of prepared chili and serving utensils. Event organizers will provide tables, bowls and spoons. Please bring electric extension cords and a power strip to plug in your chili pots.
● Since it’s Western Days, decorate your table in a western theme. Bring a sign announcing your department/district, station, club, business, organization, name, etc. This is a great networking venue to promote, so bring flyers and advertising materials to pass out if you want. For signs/banners behind your table, use painters tape on walls so it does not mar the finish.
● Western Days is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.
